OI Panamá

In January 2010 I was a part of a small team of students that went to Panamá to work with a non-government organization (NGO) for Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI).  OI is a rare genetic disease that fails to produce collagen in the bones, causing them to be extremely brittle.  There is no cure for OI, but treatment drastically improves the quality of life for those suffering from the disease.  We created a website for The Chrystal Children’s Foundation in order to promote awareness for OI as well as improve treatment facilities.  My primary roles were Chief Photographer and Multimedia Producer, but also worked as a videographer and consultant for the website’s design and functionality.  Visit the website here.

At the 15th annual Little John’s Tattoo Convention, I interviewed tattoo artist Ben Zehner.  This is an audio slideshow about why his chosen career path is rewarding.

This is an audio slideshow featuring Princess America, a member of the Tai Chi’tas, reflecting on what it means to be a roller girl.
